ForgeCareer Privacy Policy
ForgeCareer is operated by ForgeMy LLC ("ForgeMy," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how ForgeMy collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects personal information when you use ForgeCareer, including ForgeCareer websites, applications, accounts, resume and career tools, AI-assisted features, applicant-tracking-system ("ATS") analysis, job-description analysis, job tracking, authentication, and related services (collectively, "ForgeCareer").
This Privacy Policy is the product-specific privacy notice for ForgeCareer.

The corporate Privacy Policy may separately apply to ForgeMy-level activities that are not superseded by this ForgeCareer Privacy Policy.
This Privacy Policy is a notice describing our privacy practices. It is not intended to expand contractual rights beyond rights provided by applicable law or specific commitments expressly made in the ForgeCareer Terms of Service or ForgeMy LLC Terms of Use.
1 Our Privacy Principles
ForgeCareer is designed around a straightforward privacy posture:
- we collect and process information reasonably necessary to provide, secure, support, and improve ForgeCareer;
- ForgeMy does not sell personal information;
- ForgeMy does not rent personal information to data brokers or other businesses for their own marketing;
- ForgeMy does not use ForgeCareer personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising based on activity across unaffiliated businesses;
- ForgeMy does not use mobile information, SMS opt-in data, or SMS consent information for third-party or affiliate promotional or marketing purposes;
- ForgeMy's Terms do not grant ForgeMy the right to use your User Content to train a general-purpose AI model; and
- we aim to be transparent when ForgeCareer uses third-party service providers, including AI and messaging providers, to perform requested functionality.
ForgeCareer necessarily handles detailed career information. A resume or career history may contain information capable of identifying you even when obvious identifiers such as your name, email address, or telephone number are removed. You should provide only information reasonably necessary for the features you choose to use.
2 Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to personal information processed through ForgeCareer, including information associated with:
- account creation and administration;
- resumes, cover letters, profiles, and other career materials;
- employment, education, skills, certifications, accomplishments, and career history;
- resume creation, editing, analysis, and scoring;
- ATS-oriented analysis and recommendations;
- job descriptions and job-description comparisons;
- AI-assisted drafting, rewriting, analysis, recommendations, and other AI Features;
- job tracking and career-management features;
- imports, exports, and user-directed integrations;
- authentication and account security;
- SMS authentication, phone verification, and one-time passcodes;
- subscriptions, purchases, and transactions;
- customer support, feedback, and communications;
- security, fraud prevention, diagnostics, and service operations; and
- other ForgeCareer functionality that links to this Privacy Policy.
This Policy does not mean that ForgeCareer collects every category of information listed below from every user.
3 Personal Information We May Collect
Account and Contact Information
Depending on the features you use, ForgeCareer may collect information such as:
- name;
- email address;
- telephone number;
- account identifiers;
- authentication and account-security information;
- account preferences and settings; and
- communications with ForgeCareer or ForgeMy.
Resume, Career, and Professional Information
ForgeCareer may process information you enter, upload, import, generate, edit, or store in connection with your career materials, including:
- employment history;
- employer and organization names;
- job titles and responsibilities;
- employment dates;
- education and training;
- schools and educational institutions;
- skills and competencies;
- certifications, licenses, and credentials;
- projects, publications, awards, accomplishments, and professional activities;
- professional summaries and objectives;
- geographic or location information included in career materials;
- portfolio, professional-profile, or other links;
- resume and cover-letter content;
- job-search information;
- job descriptions;
- application-related notes and tracking information;
- compensation or career-preference information you choose to provide; and
- other information contained in materials you submit to ForgeCareer.
Career materials may contain personal information about you or other people. You are responsible for deciding what information to include and for avoiding unnecessary sensitive, confidential, or third-party information.
Job Descriptions and Related Material
When you ask ForgeCareer to analyze or compare a job opportunity, we may process job descriptions, job postings, employer information, qualifications, requirements, responsibilities, keywords, compensation information, location information, and other material associated with the opportunity.
Job-description material may have been created by or obtained from third parties. ForgeCareer does not represent that third-party job information is complete, current, or accurate.
AI Prompts, Inputs, and Outputs
When you use an AI-assisted feature, we may process:
- prompts and instructions you provide;
- relevant resume and career content;
- job-description content;
- contextual information needed to perform the request;
- intermediate AI processing information; and
- AI-generated or AI-assisted output.
Section 6 explains this processing in more detail.
Payment and Subscription Information
If ForgeCareer offers paid plans, purchases, or subscriptions, payment information may be processed by a third-party payment processor.
ForgeMy may receive information such as:
- transaction identifiers;
- payment status;
- billing information;
- subscription or plan information;
- renewal or cancellation status;
- payment-method type;
- limited payment-method details, such as the last digits of a card; and
- related transaction records.
ForgeMy does not need to receive or store a complete payment-card number when the payment processor handles that information directly.
Information Collected Automatically
ForgeCareer or its service providers may automatically receive limited technical and operational information such as:
- Internet Protocol (IP) address;
- browser type;
- device type;
- operating system;
- application or browser version;
- pages, screens, or features accessed;
- dates and times of access;
- referring or exit information;
- approximate location derived from an IP address;
- session and authentication information;
- application, server, security, error, or diagnostic logs; and
- cookie, local-storage, or similar technology information where those technologies are used.
We do not represent that every ForgeCareer interface collects every item listed above.
Information From Service Providers and Integrations
ForgeCareer may receive information from providers used to operate the Service, including hosting, authentication, payment, communications, security, AI, and other technology providers.
ForgeCareer may also receive information from an integration when you direct or authorize ForgeCareer to connect with that integration.
The information received depends on the provider, integration, and feature involved.
4 How We Use Personal Information
ForgeMy may use ForgeCareer personal information to:
- create and administer ForgeCareer accounts;
- authenticate users and protect accounts;
- provide resume, cover-letter, profile, and career-management functionality;
- store, display, edit, import, and export career materials at your direction;
- analyze resumes and other career materials;
- provide ATS-oriented analysis, scoring, comparisons, and recommendations;
- analyze and compare job descriptions and career materials;
- provide AI-assisted drafting, rewriting, analysis, recommendations, and other requested AI functionality;
- track jobs, applications, or other career information when you use those features;
- provide account, transaction, subscription, and billing functionality;
- send authentication, phone-verification, and one-time-passcode messages;
- communicate with you about your account, transactions, security, support requests, or the Service;
- provide customer support;
- maintain, troubleshoot, test, secure, and improve ForgeCareer;
- diagnose errors and monitor service performance;
- prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and security incidents;
- enforce applicable Terms;
- maintain business, accounting, tax, compliance, and transaction records;
- comply with applicable law, legal process, regulatory obligations, and lawful government requests; and
- establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
ForgeMy will not use personal information for a materially different purpose without providing any notice or obtaining any consent required by applicable law.
5 Resume and Career Information
Your resume and career materials are central to ForgeCareer.
ForgeMy does not claim ownership of your resume, career history, or other User Content merely because you use ForgeCareer. Contractual rights concerning User Content and AI Output are described in the ForgeCareer Terms of Service and ForgeMy LLC Terms of Use.
ForgeCareer may store and process your career materials so that you can create, edit, analyze, compare, score, export, and otherwise use the features you request.
Resume and career information can be identifying even if obvious contact fields are removed. For example, a combination of employer names, job titles, employment dates, schools, certifications, locations, projects, accomplishments, professional links, or other career history may identify or relate to a particular person.
Do not include Social Security numbers, financial-account credentials, complete payment-card numbers, medical information, government identification numbers, passwords, or other highly sensitive information unless ForgeCareer expressly requests that information for a feature and provides an appropriate disclosure.
6 Artificial Intelligence and Automated Features
ForgeCareer uses or may use artificial intelligence, machine learning, large language models, automated analysis, scoring systems, recommendation systems, and related technologies ("AI Features") to provide functionality such as:
- resume and career-material analysis;
- drafting and rewriting suggestions;
- summarization;
- skills and keyword analysis;
- job-description analysis and comparison;
- ATS-oriented analysis and scoring;
- recommendations;
- content generation; and
- other AI-assisted career functionality requested by the user.
Information Processed for AI Features
When you use an AI Feature, ForgeCareer may transmit information reasonably relevant to the requested feature to one or more third-party AI service providers.
Depending on the feature, this may include:
- resume text;
- cover-letter or other career-material text;
- employment, education, skills, credentials, and career history;
- job-description or job-posting text;
- prompts and instructions;
- related contextual information; and
- generated or intermediate output.
ForgeCareer is designed to avoid transmitting direct identifying information such as your name, email address, or telephone number to an AI provider when that information is not necessary to perform the requested feature.
Removing those direct identifiers does not make the remaining information anonymous. Career information may still identify, relate to, or be reasonably associated with you or another person because of employers, schools, locations, dates, accomplishments, links, credentials, or other contextual details.
You should review information before submitting it to an AI Feature and avoid including sensitive, confidential, or unnecessary personal information.
Why We Use AI Providers
ForgeMy uses third-party artificial-intelligence service providers — providers of large-language-model and other machine-learning APIs — acting as processors or service providers to perform AI functionality requested through ForgeCareer.
ForgeMy provides information to those providers for purposes such as generating, analyzing, comparing, rewriting, summarizing, scoring, or recommending content in response to the feature you use.
ForgeMy may add, remove, replace, or change AI providers or models as ForgeCareer evolves. The specific provider used may depend on the feature, technical requirements, availability, performance, security, cost, or other operational considerations.
ForgeMy does not intentionally provide career content to a third-party AI provider for the purpose of allowing that provider to market products or services to you.
AI Training and Model Improvement
ForgeMy's Terms do not grant ForgeMy the right to use your User Content to train a general-purpose AI model.
ForgeMy does not submit your identifiable resume or career materials to a third-party AI provider for the purpose of creating a general-purpose AI training dataset on ForgeMy's behalf.
Third-party AI providers may have their own technical retention, abuse-monitoring, security, or service-improvement practices depending on the provider, service tier, configuration, and agreement used by ForgeMy. ForgeMy does not promise that every AI provider follows identical retention or processing practices.
Where ForgeMy makes a specific provider-level promise concerning retention, training, or data use, that promise will be based on the provider arrangement actually used by ForgeCareer.
If ForgeMy later offers a materially different program that uses User Content to train a general-purpose AI model, ForgeMy will provide additional disclosure and obtain consent where required by applicable law.
AI Output and Automated Analysis
AI Features and automated analysis may be inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, outdated, biased, inappropriate, or factually wrong. They may infer, embellish, misunderstand, omit, alter, or incorrectly describe information.
You are responsible for reviewing and verifying AI-generated or AI-assisted material before relying on, publishing, exporting, or submitting it.
Additional terms concerning AI Output, ATS analysis, user responsibility, employment outcomes, and limitations are provided in the ForgeCareer Terms of Service.
7 ATS Analysis, Scores, and Recommendations
ForgeCareer may analyze career materials using software, AI Features, rules, scoring systems, or other automated methods intended to help users understand how their materials may relate to job descriptions or common ATS-oriented considerations.
Information used for these features may include resume content, job-description content, keywords, skills, formatting information, qualifications, and other career-related material.
ForgeCareer's scores, analyses, comparisons, and recommendations are informational estimates generated by ForgeCareer. They are not representations of how a particular employer, recruiter, ATS provider, or hiring system will evaluate you.
ForgeCareer is designed primarily for individuals managing their own careers. ForgeCareer is not intended to assemble or furnish consumer reports for third parties to use in employment or other eligibility decisions.
8 SMS Authentication, Phone Verification, and One-Time Passcodes
ForgeCareer may use SMS for account authentication, phone verification, and one-time passcodes ("OTP").
The ForgeCareer SMS program is not a marketing or promotional SMS program.
When you request authentication or verification through the applicable ForgeCareer interface, ForgeCareer may process:
- your telephone number;
- the fact that you requested an authentication or verification message;
- SMS opt-in or consent information where applicable;
- message-delivery information;
- timestamps;
- delivery status;
- opt-out, help, and opt-in keyword activity; and
- security, fraud-prevention, and troubleshooting information associated with the message.
ForgeMy uses this information to authenticate users, verify telephone numbers, protect accounts, deliver requested one-time passcodes, process messaging preferences, troubleshoot delivery, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with messaging requirements.
ForgeCareer may use Telnyx and telecommunications carriers or related messaging providers to deliver and support authentication and verification messages.
ForgeMy will not sell, share, rent, or otherwise transfer mobile information, text-messaging originator opt-in data, or SMS consent information to third parties or affiliates for promotional or marketing purposes.
Your mobile information will not be sold or shared with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes.
ForgeMy will not share your opt-in to the ForgeCareer SMS program with any third party for purposes unrelated to providing you with the services of that program.
ForgeMy may disclose Personal Data, including mobile information and SMS opt-in or consent status, to service providers that help provide, deliver, secure, troubleshoot, maintain, or comply with requirements applicable to the messaging service. These may include messaging-platform providers such as Telnyx, telecommunications carriers, phone companies, security and fraud-prevention providers, and other vendors involved in delivering or securing text messages. They may process that information for the applicable operational purpose or as required by law.
All the above categories of disclosure exclude text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
The ForgeCareer Terms of Service contain additional information about message frequency, message and data rates, STOP, HELP, START or UNSTOP where supported, customer care, carrier delivery, and the effect of opting out.
9 How We Disclose Personal Information
ForgeMy may disclose ForgeCareer personal information to the following categories of recipients when reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
Service Providers and Processors
These may include providers that support:
- website and application hosting;
- cloud infrastructure and data storage;
- authentication;
- payment processing;
- email and other communications;
- SMS and telecommunications;
- security and fraud prevention;
- customer support;
- diagnostics and service monitoring;
- artificial-intelligence features;
- software development and operations; and
- professional services such as accounting, legal, or compliance support.
These providers may process information for ForgeMy to perform services on our behalf or as otherwise permitted by applicable law and their agreements with ForgeMy.
AI Service Providers
As described in Section 6, ForgeMy may disclose relevant career content, job-description content, prompts, context, and related output to AI service providers when necessary to perform an AI Feature requested through ForgeCareer.
The amount and type of information disclosed depend on the feature being used.
Messaging and Telecommunications Providers
As described in Section 8, ForgeMy may disclose information necessary to provide authentication and verification messaging to Telnyx, telecommunications carriers, and other operational messaging providers.
SMS opt-in and consent information is subject to the specific restrictions in Section 8.
Payment Providers
Payment processors may receive payment and billing information necessary to process purchases, subscriptions, renewals, refunds, or other transactions.
Legal, Security, and Compliance Disclosures
ForgeMy may disclose information when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to:
- comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or a lawful government request;
- protect the rights, property, or safety of ForgeMy, our users, or others;
- investigate or prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, or unlawful activity;
- enforce our agreements; or
- establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
Business Transactions
If ForgeMy is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar corporate transaction, information may be disclosed or transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.
At Your Direction
ForgeMy may disclose information when you direct us to do so, request an export or transmission, or authorize an integration, transaction, or disclosure.
10 No Sale of Personal Information and No Targeted Advertising
ForgeMy does not sell ForgeCareer personal information.
ForgeMy does not operate ForgeCareer as a business that sells resume, career, job-search, or account information to data brokers or other third parties.
ForgeMy does not rent ForgeCareer personal information to third parties for their own marketing.
ForgeMy does not currently use ForgeCareer personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising based on activity across unaffiliated businesses.
Operational disclosures to processors and service providers that perform services for ForgeMy are not intended to authorize those recipients to use ForgeCareer personal information for their own promotional or marketing purposes.
If these practices materially change, ForgeMy will update this Privacy Policy and provide any choices, notices, or consent required by applicable law before beginning the changed processing.
12 Data Retention and Account Deletion
ForgeMy retains ForgeCareer personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including to:
- provide and maintain ForgeCareer;
- maintain an account or subscription;
- preserve career materials and history while an account is active;
- complete transactions and maintain financial, tax, and accounting records;
- provide support;
- maintain security and prevent fraud or abuse;
- comply with legal, regulatory, telecommunications, and contractual obligations;
- resolve disputes and enforce agreements; and
- establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
Retention periods vary depending on the type of information, the feature involved, account status, legal requirements, security needs, provider requirements, and ordinary backup cycles.
When information is no longer reasonably needed, ForgeMy may delete, de-identify, or aggregate it, subject to lawful retention requirements and ordinary backup cycles.
Deleting a ForgeCareer account may cause resumes, career materials, account data, and other stored information associated with the account to be deleted or scheduled for deletion, subject to legal obligations, security records, transaction records, fraud-prevention needs, dispute records, and ordinary backup cycles.
Subscription cancellation and account deletion are separate actions unless ForgeCareer expressly states otherwise.
Where available, you should export career materials you want to retain before deleting your account.
ForgeMy does not promise a universal fixed retention period unless a specific ForgeCareer feature or disclosure expressly states one.
13 Security
ForgeMy uses administrative, technical, and organizational measures that we consider reasonable and appropriate for the nature of the information and the size and nature of our operations.
These measures may include access controls, authentication controls, infrastructure protections, logging, monitoring, and other safeguards appropriate to the applicable system.
No Internet transmission, storage system, software system, AI provider, telecommunications network, or security measure is completely secure. ForgeMy therefore cannot guarantee absolute security.
You are responsible for protecting your account credentials and should notify ForgeMy if you believe your ForgeCareer account or information has been compromised.
14 Your Privacy Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live and whether a particular privacy law applies to ForgeMy or the relevant processing, you may have rights concerning your personal information. These may include rights to:
- request access to certain personal information;
- request correction of inaccurate personal information;
- request deletion of certain personal information;
- obtain a portable copy of certain personal information;
- opt out of certain sales, targeted advertising, or qualifying profiling where applicable;
- limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information where applicable;
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and
- appeal certain decisions concerning a privacy request where applicable law provides an appeal right.
ForgeMy does not sell ForgeCareer personal information and does not currently use ForgeCareer personal information for targeted advertising as described in Section 10. Accordingly, an opt-out mechanism for those activities may not be applicable to our current practices.
You may submit a privacy request using the contact information in Section 20.
ForgeMy may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests. We may deny or limit a request when permitted by applicable law, including where we cannot reasonably verify the requester or where an exception applies.
If applicable law gives you a right to appeal ForgeMy's decision on a privacy request, you may submit an appeal using the same contact method and state that you are appealing a privacy-request decision.
ForgeMy will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.
15 Colorado Privacy Rights
Colorado residents may have rights under the Colorado Privacy Act when the Act applies to ForgeMy or the relevant processing, including rights to access, correct, delete, and obtain certain personal data in portable form, and rights to opt out of certain sales, targeted advertising, or qualifying profiling.
ForgeMy does not sell ForgeCareer personal information and does not currently use ForgeCareer personal information for targeted advertising as described in Section 10.
Where the Colorado Privacy Act applies, ForgeMy will honor applicable rights and recognized universal opt-out mechanisms to the extent they apply to processing ForgeMy actually performs.
Colorado privacy requests and appeals may be submitted using the contact information in Section 20.
16 California Privacy Rights
California residents may have rights under California privacy law when those laws apply to ForgeMy or the relevant processing.
Those rights may include rights to know or access personal information, request deletion, request correction, opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information, and receive equal service and pricing when exercising applicable rights.
ForgeMy does not sell ForgeCareer personal information and does not currently share ForgeCareer personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
If California law applies to ForgeMy, we will provide and honor the notices, request methods, verification procedures, and opt-out mechanisms required for the processing ForgeMy actually performs.
California residents may submit privacy requests using the contact information in Section 20.
17 Children and Minors
ForgeCareer is intended for individuals who satisfy the eligibility requirements in the ForgeCareer Terms of Service and ForgeMy LLC Terms of Use, including the applicable minimum-age requirement.
ForgeCareer is not directed to children under 13, and ForgeMy does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through ForgeCareer.
If ForgeMy learns that ForgeCareer collected personal information from a person who was not eligible to use the Service, ForgeMy may delete or otherwise handle the information as required by applicable law.
18 International Processing
ForgeMy is based in the United States.
If you use ForgeCareer from outside the United States, information may be processed in the United States or other countries where ForgeMy's service providers operate.
Privacy and data-protection laws may differ between jurisdictions. Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, ForgeMy will use legally recognized mechanisms appropriate to the applicable processing.
19 Changes to This Privacy Policy
ForgeMy may update this Privacy Policy as ForgeCareer, our technologies, providers, data practices, or legal obligations change.
When we update the Policy, we will update the "Last Updated" date.
If a change materially affects how we use or disclose personal information, ForgeMy will provide any additional notice or obtain any consent required by applicable law before the changed practice applies.
We encourage you to review the current Privacy Policy periodically.
