ForgeCareer Terms of Service

Plain-English Summary

ForgeCareer helps you organize career information, create and improve career materials, evaluate them with software and AI-assisted tools, and manage parts of your job search. It does not guarantee that an employer, recruiter, job board, or applicant tracking system will respond to or evaluate your materials in any particular way.

You are responsible for reviewing everything before you use or submit it and for making sure your credentials and career information are truthful. ForgeCareer is designed for individuals managing their own careers, not for employers or other organizations making decisions about other people unless ForgeMy expressly offers a separate service for that purpose.

These ForgeCareer Terms add product-specific rules to the Corporate Terms. The Corporate Terms contain additional provisions concerning accounts, acceptable use, AI, intellectual property, payments, subscriptions, termination, warranties, liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution.

This Plain-English Summary is provided only as a convenience. The operative provisions below and the Corporate Terms control.

1 Relationship to the ForgeMy Corporate Terms

ForgeCareer is operated by ForgeMy LLC and is a Service under the Corporate Terms.

These ForgeCareer Terms are Product Terms as defined in the Corporate Terms. They supplement the Corporate Terms and should be read together with them.

If these ForgeCareer Terms expressly address a ForgeCareer-specific subject differently from the Corporate Terms, these ForgeCareer Terms control that product-specific subject to the extent of the conflict.

These ForgeCareer Terms do not replace any Protective Provision identified in Section 2 of the Corporate Terms unless these ForgeCareer Terms expressly identify the Corporate Terms Section being replaced and state that it is being replaced.

For clarity, these ForgeCareer Terms do not replace the dispute-resolution provisions in Sections 31 through 37 of the Corporate Terms.

Checkout disclosures accepted for a particular ForgeCareer purchase control the price, billing interval, trial, renewal, cancellation, and refund terms of that transaction as provided in the Corporate Terms.

2 Eligibility and Personal Use

You must satisfy the eligibility requirements in the Corporate Terms, including the minimum-age requirement, to use ForgeCareer. A ForgeCareer program may impose additional eligibility requirements.

ForgeCareer is intended primarily for individuals managing their own career information, resumes, job searches, applications, and related career activities.

You may use ForgeCareer to create, organize, analyze, edit, store, and manage your own career materials and information for lawful personal career purposes.

Unless ForgeMy expressly offers a separate product, plan, or written agreement permitting such use, you may not use ForgeCareer on behalf of an employer, recruiter, staffing agency, background-screening provider, or other third party to screen, rank, score, investigate, evaluate, or make employment or eligibility decisions about another individual.

3 ForgeCareer Features

Depending on the version, plan, and availability, ForgeCareer may provide features such as:

• resume creation, editing, formatting, and storage;
• resume and career-profile analysis;
• applicant-tracking-system or ATS oriented analysis and suggestions;
• AI-assisted drafting, rewriting, summarization, and recommendations;
• job-search and application organization;
• job or opportunity tracking;
• career-history and accomplishment organization;
• scoring, comparisons, or other automated analyses;
• document import, export, or conversion;
• communications, authentication, and account-management features; and
• other career-related tools ForgeMy may add, modify, or discontinue.

Features may change over time. ForgeMy does not promise that a particular feature, score, integration, model, data source, or workflow will remain available indefinitely.

4 Your Career Information and Materials

ForgeCareer may allow you to provide resumes, employment history, education, certifications, skills, accomplishments, job information, application information, prompts, documents, notes, and other material. This information is User Content under the Corporate Terms.

As between you and ForgeMy, you retain ownership of your User Content subject to the limited operational rights described in the Corporate Terms.

You are responsible for determining what information you provide to ForgeCareer and for maintaining copies of materials you cannot afford to lose.

You represent and warrant that you have the right to provide the information and materials you submit and that your use of them through ForgeCareer does not violate another person's rights or applicable law.

The ForgeCareer Privacy Policy separately describes how ForgeCareer collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects personal information.

5 Accuracy and Truthfulness of Career Materials

You are responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and truthfulness of materials you create, store, edit, generate, or submit using ForgeCareer.

You may not knowingly use ForgeCareer to fabricate or materially misrepresent:

• employment history;
• job titles or responsibilities;
• education;
• degrees;
• certifications or licenses;
• skills or qualifications;
• accomplishments or performance;
• awards;
• dates;
• compensation;
• professional memberships; or
• other material facts about yourself or another person.

ForgeCareer may help you describe, organize, rewrite, summarize, or present information, but you remain responsible for verifying the final content before using, publishing, or submitting it.

6 AI-Assisted Features

ForgeCareer may use artificial intelligence, machine learning, large language models, automated analysis, scoring systems, recommendation systems, or other AI Features as described in the Corporate Terms.

AI-assisted features may generate, analyze, rewrite, summarize, compare, score, or suggest resume language, cover-letter language, bullet points, skills, keywords, job-search material, job-description comparisons, recommendations, or other career-related output.

How AI Features Process Career Content

When you use an AI-assisted feature, ForgeCareer may transmit relevant content to one or more third-party AI service providers so that the requested feature can be performed. Depending on the feature, that content may include resume text, career information, job-description text, prompts, instructions, related context, and generated or intermediate output.

ForgeCareer is designed to avoid transmitting direct identifying information such as your name, email address, or telephone number to an AI provider when that information is not necessary to perform the requested feature. However, resumes, career histories, job descriptions, prompts, and other materials may themselves contain personal information or combinations of information that identify, relate to, or could reasonably be associated with you or another person. You should review the information you provide and avoid including sensitive, confidential, or unnecessary personal information in an AI-assisted feature.

ForgeMy may use third-party AI providers to support these features. The ForgeCareer Privacy Policy describes the AI providers or categories of providers used by ForgeCareer, the information processed for AI Features, the purposes of that processing, and applicable data-use practices.

The Corporate Terms do not grant ForgeMy the right to use your User Content to train a general-purpose AI model. Any materially different ForgeMy training program or feature will be subject to the disclosures and consent required by the Corporate Terms and applicable law.

AI Limitations and Your Responsibility

AI-GENERATED OR AI-ASSISTED CONTENT MAY BE INACCURATE, INCOMPLETE, MISLEADING, OUTDATED, BIASED, INAPPROPRIATE, FACTUALLY WRONG, OR UNSUITABLE FOR YOUR PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

AI Features may hallucinate, infer, embellish, misunderstand, omit, alter, or incorrectly describe information. They may suggest credentials, skills, responsibilities, accomplishments, experience, keywords, qualifications, dates, or other statements that are inaccurate or not true of you. They may also misunderstand a job description, employer requirement, recruiting practice, or other material supplied for analysis.

YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR REVIEWING, EDITING, VERIFYING, AND APPROVING AI-GENERATED OR AI-ASSISTED CONTENT BEFORE YOU RELY ON, USE, PUBLISH, EXPORT, OR SUBMIT IT TO AN EMPLOYER, RECRUITER, JOB BOARD, APPLICANT TRACKING SYSTEM, OR OTHER THIRD PARTY.

You remain responsible for the accuracy, completeness, lawfulness, and truthfulness of your resume, application, profile, cover letter, and other career materials regardless of whether ForgeCareer or an AI Feature generated, suggested, analyzed, scored, reformatted, or modified any portion of those materials.

ForgeCareer is an assistive tool and does not replace your independent judgment. AI Output does not constitute professional career counseling, legal advice, employment-law advice, human-resources-compliance advice, immigration advice, or any other regulated professional advice unless ForgeMy expressly states otherwise in writing.

ForgeMy does not guarantee that an AI Feature or AI Output will be accurate, complete, current, unbiased, unique, non-infringing, suitable for a particular employer or job, or effective for your intended purpose. ForgeMy also does not guarantee that AI-assisted content will improve your resume, correctly interpret a job description, identify every relevant qualification or keyword, improve an ATS score or ranking, satisfy a particular employer or ATS, generate a recruiter response, or produce any particular employment or career outcome.

AI Output may not be unique, and other users may receive identical or similar output. AI Output may not qualify for intellectual-property protection. Ownership and other rights relating to AI Output are governed by the Corporate Terms.

Third-party AI providers, models, and related services may experience errors, outages, changes, limitations, safety restrictions, or other acts or omissions outside ForgeMy's direct control. ForgeMy may add, remove, replace, or change AI providers or models as ForgeCareer evolves, subject to the Corporate Terms and applicable law.

The third-party-service provisions, warranty disclaimers, limitation of liability, excluded-damages provisions, indemnification provisions, and other applicable Protective Provisions in the Corporate Terms apply to ForgeCareer AI Features and AI Output to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

7 ATS Analysis and Scores

ForgeCareer may analyze career materials using rules, models, heuristics, artificial intelligence, keyword analysis, comparisons, or other techniques intended to provide information about how a resume or other material may relate to common recruiting or applicant-tracking practices.

Any ForgeCareer ATS score, compatibility score, recommendation, ranking, assessment, or similar result is an estimate or informational aid, not a representation of how a particular employer, recruiter, hiring manager, job board, or ATS will evaluate you.

Applicant tracking systems differ substantially. Their configurations, data, ranking methods, filters, workflows, integrations, and employer-specific settings may be proprietary, unavailable to ForgeMy, or changed without notice.

ForgeMy does not represent that ForgeCareer reproduces or has access to the internal decision logic of any particular employer's or third-party ATS unless ForgeMy expressly states otherwise for a specific integration.

A higher ForgeCareer score does not guarantee improved treatment by an ATS or employer, and a lower score does not establish that a resume or application will be rejected.

You should treat scores and recommendations as inputs to your own judgment rather than as employment decisions or guarantees.

8 No Employment or Career Outcome Guarantee

FORGEMY DOES NOT GUARANTEE THAT USE OF FORGECAREER WILL RESULT IN AN INTERVIEW, RECRUITER RESPONSE, EMPLOYMENT OFFER, PROMOTION, IMPROVED ATS RANKING, INCREASED COMPENSATION, SUCCESSFUL CAREER CHANGE, OR ANY OTHER EMPLOYMENT OR CAREER OUTCOME.

ForgeMy does not control employers, recruiters, hiring managers, staffing firms, job boards, applicant tracking systems, third-party algorithms, labor-market conditions, hiring criteria, interview decisions, compensation decisions, or other employment processes.

Employers and recruiters may evaluate the same information differently.

ForgeCareer does not guarantee that a resume, application, cover letter, profile, or other material will satisfy the requirements of any employer, job posting, recruiter, platform, or third-party system.

9 ForgeCareer Is Not an Employer, Recruiter, or Professional Adviser

Unless ForgeMy expressly states otherwise in a separate written agreement for a specific Service, ForgeCareer and ForgeMy are not acting as your:

• employer;
• prospective employer;
• recruiter;
• staffing agency;
• employment agency;
• hiring manager;
• placement service;
• background-screening provider;
• immigration adviser;
• legal adviser;
• human-resources compliance adviser; or
• licensed professional career counselor.

ForgeCareer may provide general career information, software-generated suggestions, AI-assisted content, organizational tools, and other informational assistance. Such functionality does not create a fiduciary, employment, recruiting, staffing, placement, counseling, or professional-services relationship.

You are responsible for obtaining qualified professional advice when your situation requires it.

10 Third-Party Jobs, Employers, Platforms, and Data

ForgeCareer may display, import, organize, link to, or otherwise interact with information originating from third parties, such as job listings, employer information, compensation information, job boards, recruiting platforms, applicant tracking systems, websites, APIs, or other external sources.

Third-party information may be incomplete, inaccurate, stale, duplicated, changed, withdrawn, or unavailable.

ForgeMy does not guarantee that:

• a listed job remains open;
• an employer or recruiter is actively hiring;
• compensation information is accurate;
• a job description is complete;
• a third-party link or integration will remain available;
• an employer will receive or review information you submit;
• a third-party platform will process information as expected; or
• external information is authentic or free from errors.

References to an employer, recruiter, ATS, job board, platform, or other third party do not imply affiliation, sponsorship, endorsement, or partnership unless ForgeMy expressly states otherwise.

Your use of third-party services remains subject to their own terms, policies, and practices.

11 Employment Decisions and Consumer Reports

ForgeCareer is designed primarily as a tool for individuals managing their own careers.

ForgeMy does not intend ForgeCareer to assemble or furnish consumer reports for third-party eligibility or employment decisions.

Unless ForgeMy expressly launches a separate legally supported service for that purpose, you may not use ForgeCareer, ForgeCareer scores, analyses, User Content, AI Output, or other ForgeCareer information as a consumer report or for an employment, credit, housing, insurance, or other eligibility purpose governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act or a similar law.

Employers, recruiters, staffing agencies, and other third parties may not use ForgeCareer to screen, rank, score, investigate, or make decisions about individuals unless ForgeMy has expressly authorized that use through a separate product, plan, or written agreement designed for that purpose.

12 Prohibited Career-Related Uses

In addition to the prohibited activities in the Corporate Terms, you may not use ForgeCareer to:

1. knowingly create or submit materially false career credentials;
2. impersonate another applicant or job seeker;
3. submit an application in another person's name without authorization;
4. access another person's private career information without authorization;
5. unlawfully discriminate against or facilitate unlawful discrimination against another person;
6. conduct unauthorized employment screening or background investigations;
7. use ForgeCareer as a consumer report or employment-screening service where prohibited by Section 11;
8. scrape, harvest, or systematically extract job, employer, user, or platform data except as expressly authorized;
9. circumvent restrictions imposed by a job board, employer, recruiting platform, ATS, or other third-party service;
10. automate applications, communications, or submissions in a manner that violates applicable law, third-party terms, or ForgeMy restrictions; or
11. use ForgeCareer for any unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, or materially unintended purpose.

13 Connected Services and Integrations

ForgeCareer may permit you to connect, import from, export to, or interact with third-party services.

You authorize ForgeCareer to access, transmit, or process information through a connected service only to the extent necessary to perform the action you request and subject to the permissions you grant.

You are responsible for maintaining any third-party account required for an integration and for complying with the third party's terms.

ForgeMy may modify, suspend, or discontinue an integration if the third-party provider changes its API, terms, permissions, technical requirements, pricing, availability, or other conditions.

ForgeMy is not responsible for third-party decisions, outages, changes, data practices, or acts or omissions as further provided in the Corporate Terms.

14 Subscriptions, Purchases, Trials, and Refunds

ForgeCareer may offer free features, paid features, subscriptions, trials, promotions, or other plans.

The price, billing interval, renewal terms, trial terms, cancellation deadline, refund terms, and other transaction-specific conditions presented to you at checkout form part of your agreement with ForgeMy.

ForgeCareer purchases are also governed by the payment, automatic-renewal, cancellation, refund, trial, and promotion provisions of the Corporate Terms.

If you purchase an automatically renewing ForgeCareer subscription, it will renew according to the disclosures accepted at checkout until you cancel or the subscription otherwise ends.

You may cancel using the cancellation method provided for your ForgeCareer subscription. Cancellation prevents future renewals as described at checkout and in the Corporate Terms but does not automatically create a right to a refund for amounts already charged.

Nothing in these ForgeCareer Terms limits a cancellation, refund, withdrawal, or other consumer right that cannot lawfully be waived.

15 SMS Authentication and Verification

ForgeCareer may use SMS to send account-authentication, phone-number-verification, and one-time-passcode (OTP) messages as described in Section 21 of the Corporate Terms.

The ForgeCareer authentication and verification SMS program is not a marketing or promotional messaging program.

Requesting the applicable authentication or verification function through the disclosed ForgeCareer interface constitutes your request to receive the corresponding message at the mobile number you provide, subject to applicable law and the disclosures presented in the interface.

Message frequency varies based on your authentication and verification activity. Message and data rates may apply.

You may reply STOP to opt out of the applicable SMS messaging program and HELP for help. Where supported, START or UNSTOP may be used to request that messaging resume.

Opting out may prevent you from using features requiring SMS verification if another verification method is not available.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages to the extent permitted by applicable law.

ForgeMy will not sell, share, rent, or otherwise transfer mobile information, text-messaging originator opt-in data, or SMS consent information to third parties or affiliates for promotional or marketing purposes.

Additional information is provided in the ForgeCareer Privacy Policy and Section 21 of the Corporate Terms.

16 Account Deletion, Cancellation, and Your Materials

If ForgeCareer provides account-deletion controls, you may use those controls to request deletion of your ForgeCareer account.

Deleting a ForgeCareer account is distinct from canceling a paid subscription unless ForgeCareer expressly combines those actions.

You should export or save career materials you wish to retain before deleting your account or before your access ends.

The ForgeCareer Privacy Policy describes applicable data-retention and deletion practices. The Corporate Terms govern termination, suspension, survival, and related contractual consequences.

17 Service Changes and Experimental Features

ForgeCareer may evolve rapidly and may include beta, preview, prototype, experimental, or early-access features.

ForgeMy may add, modify, replace, restrict, suspend, or discontinue ForgeCareer features, models, scores, integrations, plans, or functionality as provided in the Corporate Terms.

Experimental features may be incomplete, unstable, inaccurate, changed substantially, or discontinued. You should not rely on an experimental feature as the sole repository for irreplaceable career information or for a time-critical application process.

18 Intellectual Property and Feedback

ForgeMy's rights in ForgeCareer, its software, interfaces, workflows, branding, documentation, and other ForgeMy Content are governed by the Corporate Terms.

Your ownership of User Content and the treatment of AI Output are also governed by the Corporate Terms.

If you voluntarily provide feedback concerning ForgeCareer, the Feedback provisions of the Corporate Terms apply.

Nothing in these ForgeCareer Terms grants you ownership of ForgeCareer software, proprietary scoring methods, interfaces, models, branding, or other ForgeMy Content.

19 Privacy

ForgeCareer's collection, use, disclosure, retention, and protection of personal information is described in the ForgeCareer Privacy Policy at:

The ForgeCareer Privacy Policy is a privacy notice and is not incorporated into these ForgeCareer Terms as a contractual promise except where these ForgeCareer Terms expressly state a specific privacy commitment.

ForgeMy's corporate Privacy Policy may separately apply to ForgeMy corporate websites, communications, transactions, or other corporate activities as described in that policy.

20 Warranty, Liability, Indemnification, and Disputes

The warranty disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification provisions, governing-law provisions, informal dispute-resolution process, arbitration agreement, arbitration opt-out, class-action waiver, jury-trial waiver, claim-timing provisions, and other Protective Provisions in the Corporate Terms apply to ForgeCareer.

These ForgeCareer Terms do not create a separate dispute-resolution regime.

For clarity, Sections 31 through 37 of the Corporate Terms govern disputes arising out of or relating to ForgeCareer unless a later agreement accepted by you expressly identifies and replaces the applicable Corporate Terms Section.

21 Changes to These ForgeCareer Terms

ForgeMy may modify these ForgeCareer Terms from time to time.

When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date and provide any additional notice or obtain any additional acceptance required by the Corporate Terms or applicable law.

Changes apply prospectively as provided in the Corporate Terms.

A change to these ForgeCareer Terms does not replace a Protective Provision of the Corporate Terms unless the changed ForgeCareer Terms expressly identify the Corporate Terms Section being replaced and state that it is being replaced.
