Privacy Policy
ForgeMy LLC ("ForgeMy," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how ForgeMy collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects personal information when you visit forgemy.ai, communicate with ForgeMy, purchase or subscribe to ForgeMy services, participate in ForgeMy promotions, or otherwise interact with ForgeMy at the corporate level.
ForgeMy operates multiple products. A ForgeMy product may have its own privacy policy that describes additional or different data practices for that product. For example, ForgeCareer will maintain a product-specific Privacy Policy at https://forgemy.ai/legal/products/forgecareer/privacy. When a product-specific privacy policy applies, it governs the product-specific processing described in that policy. This corporate Privacy Policy continues to apply to ForgeMy-level activities that are not superseded by the product-specific policy.
This Privacy Policy is a notice describing our privacy practices. It is not intended to expand contractual rights beyond rights provided by applicable law or specific commitments expressly made in ForgeMy's Terms of Use.
1 Our Privacy Principles
ForgeMy is a small company and aims to collect and retain only information reasonably necessary to operate, secure, improve, support, and transact with our business and Services.
ForgeMy does not sell personal information.
ForgeMy does not rent personal information to data brokers or other businesses for their own marketing.
We do not use mobile information, SMS opt-in data, or SMS consent information for third-party or affiliate promotional or marketing purposes as described in Section 8.
We may use service providers and processors to operate ForgeMy. Those operational disclosures are not sales of personal information and do not authorize those providers to use the information for their own promotional or marketing purposes.
2 Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to personal information ForgeMy processes through corporate activities such as:
- the ForgeMy website and corporate web properties;
- account, billing, subscription, and transaction administration performed by ForgeMy;
- communications with ForgeMy;
- customer support;
- promotions, contests, sweepstakes, and referral programs operated by ForgeMy;
- security, fraud prevention, and legal compliance;
- corporate analytics and service improvement; and
- other ForgeMy-level business operations.
Product-specific information may instead be governed primarily by the applicable product privacy policy. This policy should not be read to mean that every ForgeMy product collects every category of information described below.
3 Personal Information We May Collect
Depending on how you interact with ForgeMy, we may collect the following categories of personal information.
Information You Provide
This may include:
- name;
- email address;
- telephone number;
- mailing or billing address;
- account or profile information;
- communications, support requests, feedback, and correspondence;
- purchase, subscription, billing, and transaction information;
- promotion, contest, sweepstakes, or referral information; and
- other information you choose to provide to ForgeMy.
Payment Information
When you make a purchase, payment information may be processed by a third-party payment processor. ForgeMy may receive transaction identifiers, payment status, billing details, payment-method type, the last digits of a payment method, or similar transaction information.
ForgeMy does not need to receive or store your complete payment-card number when the payment processor handles that information directly.
Information Collected Automatically
When you use a ForgeMy website or online Service, ForgeMy or its service providers may automatically receive limited technical information such as:
- Internet Protocol (IP) address;
- browser type;
- device type;
- operating system;
- pages or features accessed;
- referring or exit pages;
- dates and times of access;
- approximate location derived from an IP address;
- application, server, security, or diagnostic logs; and
- cookie or similar technology information where such technologies are used.
We do not represent that every ForgeMy property uses every technology or collects every item listed above.
Information From Service Providers and Integrations
ForgeMy may receive information from vendors or services used to operate the business, such as payment processors, authentication providers, hosting providers, communications providers, security providers, analytics providers, and other integrations that you or ForgeMy use in connection with a Service.
The information received depends on the applicable service and integration.
4 How We Use Personal Information
ForgeMy may use personal information to:
- provide, operate, maintain, and support ForgeMy websites and Services;
- create and administer accounts;
- authenticate users and protect accounts;
- process purchases, subscriptions, renewals, cancellations, refunds, and other transactions;
- communicate with you about your account, transactions, Services, support requests, security, or legal matters;
- respond to questions and provide customer support;
- maintain, troubleshoot, test, and improve Services;
- understand how ForgeMy websites and Services are used;
- prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, security incidents, and violations of our Terms;
- maintain business, accounting, tax, compliance, and transaction records;
- administer promotions, contests, sweepstakes, or referral programs;
- enforce agreements and protect ForgeMy, our users, and third parties;
- comply with applicable law, legal process, regulatory obligations, and lawful government requests; and
- establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
ForgeMy will not use personal information for a materially different purpose without providing any notice or obtaining any consent required by applicable law.
5 Artificial Intelligence and Service Providers
ForgeMy may use artificial-intelligence providers and other technology providers to support particular Services or internal business functions.
The information sent to a provider depends on the feature being used and the provider's role. ForgeMy seeks to limit information provided to service providers to information reasonably necessary for the applicable function.
ForgeMy's corporate Terms of Use do not grant ForgeMy the right to use User Content to train a general-purpose artificial-intelligence model. If ForgeMy later offers a feature or program that would use User Content for such training, ForgeMy will provide additional disclosure and obtain consent where required by applicable law.
Product-specific AI practices may be described in the applicable product Privacy Policy.
6 How We Disclose Personal Information
ForgeMy may disclose personal information to the following categories of recipients when reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
Service Providers and Processors
These may include providers that support:
- website and application hosting;
- cloud infrastructure and data storage;
- payment processing;
- authentication;
- email, SMS, and other communications;
- security and fraud prevention;
- customer support;
- analytics and diagnostics;
- artificial-intelligence features;
- software development and operations; and
- professional services such as accounting, legal, or compliance support.
These providers may process information for ForgeMy to perform services on our behalf or as otherwise permitted by applicable law and their agreements with ForgeMy.
Legal, Security, and Compliance Disclosures
ForgeMy may disclose information when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to:
- comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or a lawful government request;
- protect the rights, property, or safety of ForgeMy, our users, or others;
- investigate or prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, or unlawful activity;
- enforce our agreements; or
- establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
Business Transactions
If ForgeMy is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar corporate transaction, information may be disclosed or transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.
At Your Direction
ForgeMy may disclose information when you direct us to do so or authorize an integration, transaction, or disclosure.
7 No Sale of Personal Information
ForgeMy does not sell personal information.
ForgeMy does not operate a business model based on selling personal information to data brokers or other third parties.
Operational disclosures to service providers and processors that perform services for ForgeMy are not intended to authorize those recipients to use personal information for their own promotional or marketing purposes.
ForgeMy also does not knowingly use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising based on activity across unaffiliated businesses. If ForgeMy's practices materially change, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any choices required by applicable law before beginning such processing.
8 SMS and Mobile Information
ForgeMy products may use text messaging for specifically disclosed purposes. Product-specific SMS programs may be described in the applicable product Privacy Policy and Terms.
ForgeMy will not sell, share, rent, or otherwise transfer mobile information, text-messaging originator opt-in data, or SMS consent information to third parties or affiliates for promotional or marketing purposes.
ForgeMy will not share an individual's opt-in to an SMS campaign with a third party for purposes unrelated to providing the services of that campaign.
ForgeMy may disclose mobile information, SMS opt-in information, and SMS consent information to service providers that help provide, deliver, secure, troubleshoot, maintain, or comply with requirements applicable to a messaging service. These may include messaging-platform providers, telecommunications carriers, security and fraud-prevention providers, and other vendors involved in message delivery. They may use that information only for the applicable operational purpose or as required by law.
All the above categories of disclosure exclude text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
10 Data Retention
ForgeMy retains personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including to:
- provide and maintain the applicable Service;
- maintain an account or subscription;
- complete transactions and maintain financial, tax, and accounting records;
- provide support;
- maintain security and prevent fraud or abuse;
- comply with legal and regulatory obligations;
- resolve disputes and enforce agreements; and
- establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
Retention periods vary depending on the type of information, the Service involved, legal requirements, security needs, and whether an account remains active.
When information is no longer reasonably needed, ForgeMy may delete, de-identify, or aggregate it, subject to lawful retention requirements and ordinary backup cycles.
ForgeMy does not promise a universal fixed retention period unless one is stated in an applicable product-specific privacy policy or other disclosure.
11 Security
ForgeMy uses administrative, technical, and organizational measures that we consider reasonable and appropriate for the nature of the information and the size and nature of our operations.
No Internet transmission, storage system, software system, or security measure is completely secure. ForgeMy therefore cannot guarantee absolute security.
You are responsible for protecting your account credentials and should notify ForgeMy if you believe your account or information has been compromised.
12 Your Privacy Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live and whether a particular privacy law applies to ForgeMy or the relevant processing, you may have rights concerning your personal information. These may include rights to:
- request access to certain personal information;
- request correction of inaccurate personal information;
- request deletion of certain personal information;
- obtain a portable copy of certain personal information;
- opt out of certain sales, targeted advertising, or profiling where applicable;
- limit certain uses of sensitive personal information where applicable;
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and
- appeal certain decisions concerning a privacy request where applicable law provides an appeal right.
ForgeMy does not sell personal information and does not currently engage in the targeted-advertising practices described in Section 7. Accordingly, an opt-out mechanism for those activities may not be applicable to our current practices.
You may submit a privacy request using the contact information in Section 18.
ForgeMy may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests. We may deny or limit a request when permitted by applicable law, including where we cannot reasonably verify the requester or where an exception applies.
If applicable law gives you a right to appeal ForgeMy's decision on a privacy request, you may submit an appeal using the same contact method and state that you are appealing a privacy-request decision.
ForgeMy will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.
13 Colorado Privacy Rights
Colorado residents may have rights under the Colorado Privacy Act when the Act applies to ForgeMy or the relevant processing, including rights to access, correct, delete, and obtain certain personal data in portable form, and rights to opt out of certain sales, targeted advertising, or qualifying profiling.
ForgeMy does not sell personal information and does not currently use personal information for targeted advertising as described in Section 7.
Where the Colorado Privacy Act applies, ForgeMy will honor applicable rights and recognized universal opt-out mechanisms to the extent they apply to processing ForgeMy actually performs.
Colorado privacy requests and appeals may be submitted using the contact information in Section 18.
14 California Privacy Rights
California residents may have rights under California privacy law when those laws apply to ForgeMy or the relevant processing.
Those rights may include rights to know or access personal information, request deletion, request correction, opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information, and receive equal service and pricing when exercising applicable rights.
ForgeMy does not sell personal information and does not currently share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
If California law applies to ForgeMy, we will provide and honor the notices, request methods, verification procedures, and opt-out mechanisms required for the processing ForgeMy actually performs.
California residents may submit privacy requests using the contact information in Section 18.
15 Children and Minors
ForgeMy's corporate Services are intended for individuals who are at least 18 years old and have reached the age of majority where they live, unless ForgeMy expressly offers a separate product or program with a different eligibility framework.
ForgeMy does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through its corporate Services.
If ForgeMy learns that personal information was collected through a Service from a person who was not eligible to use that Service, ForgeMy may delete or otherwise handle the information as required by applicable law and the applicable product privacy policy.
A future ForgeMy product designed for minors would require separate eligibility, consent, and privacy disclosures appropriate to that product before launch.
16 International Processing
ForgeMy is based in the United States.
If you access ForgeMy from outside the United States, information may be processed in the United States or other countries where ForgeMy's service providers operate.
Privacy and data-protection laws may differ between jurisdictions. Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, ForgeMy will use legally recognized mechanisms appropriate to the applicable processing.
17 Changes to This Privacy Policy
ForgeMy may update this Privacy Policy as our business, Services, technologies, or legal obligations change.
When we update the policy, we will update the "Last Updated" date. If a change materially affects how we use or disclose personal information, ForgeMy will provide any additional notice or obtain any consent required by applicable law before the changed practice applies.
We encourage you to review the current Privacy Policy periodically.
